I FEAR WE ARE BEING BAMBOOZLED.
I am hearing a lot of comments from people around me, that express fear of what this virus can do. Many think we need to remain locked down, that opening up businesses is the wrong thing to do.
Some will talk about the number of cases and deaths. But none of them can say what the numbers are here in Charlotte, NC compared to the population in Metro Charlotte. The news reports do not give the actual percentages, or the real risk to the public.
The data shows that only those who already have a weakened immune system are susceptible to illness from the virus.
All the reports I hear say how many are ill with the virus, but never put it into perspective of the population.
NC 9948 confirmed cases, 354 deaths, population 10.5 million. That is .00357% of the population of the state of NC has died from the virus, if the truth is that they really did die only from the virus and not other major causes.
Mecklenburg county NC, 1,567 cases, 44 deaths, 1,077,31. That is .00041% of the population that has been reported to have died from the virus.
The real data does not support the fear and panic that is driving the emotional reaction and orders of the general public. All the models that were used to make policy decisions were the worse case scenarios.
Data that has been collected by the CDC shows 33,513 deaths in the USA from the Cornavirus. The population of the USA is 331 million. That gives a death rate of .000000101%.
Again only people with compromised immune systems are at risk of a serious illness from the virus.
As testing of larger populations are taking place, the data shows a wide spread of the virus, with most being asymptomatic. In other words, people have the virus and are not getting sick, they are building antibodies that prevent them getting sick.
Those of use "essential workers" are considered too healthy to get sick from the virus. Yet there are those "essential workers" who do get sick.
Which begs the question what job is not essential? Is it not essential that people be active instead of being couch potatoes for another month or two, or until our "experts" and politicians declare they will "allow" us to return to normal activities?
Is it not essential that the healthy population of the USA open their businesses and get back to earning a wage to provide the essential needs of their families?
This martial law that is being fostered upon us is something we all should fear. We the people are seeing our natural God given rights of self determination stripped away from us, for an uncertain safety.
The safety from the .000000101% risk of dying from the Coronavirus. We are not being kept safe, our government officials are using their offices to show what kind of power they can wield over the citizens of this country. That is something to be very concerned about, and fear.
